Promotion Sunday: Growing Together with Jesus Promotion Sunday is a special day as we celebrate our children and students taking their next step in faith and moving into their new Sunday School classes. At First Methodist Midland, we believe every stage of life is an opportunity to grow closer to Jesus and to discover our created purpose—to be with God and bear His image in the world. As our children and youth continue their journey of returning with Jesus to the goodness of the Garden, we are committed to walking alongside them as they learn to follow Jesus as their Rabbi, trust Him as their Savior, and serve Him as their King. Through age-appropriate teaching, meaningful relationships, and opportunities to AVAD (serve) and SHAMAR (care for God’s creation and His people), we pray they will grow into disciples who reflect God’s goodness wherever they go. Join us as we celebrate this exciting milestone, pray over our children, students, families, and leaders, and look forward to another year of growing in faith together.
