Restore us, O LORD, and bring us back to you again! Give us back the joys we once had! -Lamentations 5:21-
Christmas is more than a celebration of something God did long ago. It is an invitation to slow down and discover what God is doing in our lives right now.
We all desire to be seen, to be at peace, to feel safe, and to know that we belong. The good news of Christmas is that God has come near to us in Jesus to give us these gifts. Through his coming, we discover the promise of renewed hope, restored relationships, and new beginnings.
Whatever this year has brought your way, whether joy or sorrow, peace or struggle, we invite you to experience the wonder of Christmas and the hope of a God who is making all things new.
Join us at First Methodist Midland for a beautiful evening of worship as pause together to celebrate the birth of Jesus with spectacular music, a special children’s moment, an inspiring message, and the lighting of candles as we sing Silent Night as we give thanks to God that the light of Christ has come into the world, into our lives.
