Lent began on February 18, with Easter on April 5. The church library has quite a few DVDs with study guides for your Sunday School class or individual needs. See some suggestions listed below:
Transformed by the Messiah by Rabbi Jason Sobel – This book shows how connections between the Old and New Testaments reveal God’s intentional story for your life. Journey with the Rabbi—from the manger to the cross—for a life-transforming encounter with the Savior.
Follow Prayerfully: A Guide to Prayer for Lent, edited by Daniel Harris (a member of First Methodist Midland) – Lent is a time when Christians around the world seek to increase their capacity to follow Jesus. As we remember His call to deny ourselves, take up our own crosses, and follow Him, this guide will assist you in preparing your soul for Easter this year by helping you follow prayerfully.
Both books are located in the display case outside the atrium, along with others. The library itself is in Room 118. The library operates on a self-serve basis and is open whenever the church is open.
