There will also be some fun games and activities and the church playground will be open.  Invite your friends to come for this fun and relaxed evening with the church family.

Then return the following week (June 26) for a full evening of events. Chef Angelo will be serving up a delicious meal in the Atrium beginning at 5:30 pm. The summertime fare will include an all-beef hot dog bar with chips, barbequed beans, a fresh fruit display, and cookies and ice cream.

At 6:30, programs begin for all ages. The Music and More Kids will gather in Room 230 for fun, games, and song. The youth meet in the basement for fun and fellowship. For adults, there will be several choices.

What is Heaven Like?
What happens when we die?
Can people in Heaven see us?

“Going to Heaven” is one of the most natural expectations of any Christian.  In many ways it is what we live for but how much do we really know about the place we are to live eternally?  Wednesday nights this summer we will explore what the Scripture actually teach us about Heaven.  We have all heard the jokes about St. Peter at the Pearly Gates but what does the Bible actually say we should expect when we die?

This study is for both those who have lost loved ones and those who are curious about what is to come.

Parenting Class:  Bold Parenting

Led by: Macky Pitts and Dana Runyan

Location: Room 107

What kind of parent does God want you to be? We passionately focus on helping our kids shine in the classroom, excel in sports and succeed in the arts. But God has an even higher calling for you as a parent. Bold Parenting will help you discover the joy and rewards of passing on your faith story to your children.

Women’s Class: Walking in the Light: Everyday Essentials of the Christian Life
Led by: Melissa Shuler
Location: Room 118

Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” (John 8:12) Through devotional time and small group discussion, we will explore some essentials necessary for our daily walk with God.

Make plans now to join us for one or all of the summer sessions of Wednesday Night Live! Don’t miss this opportunity to strengthen your faith ties to First Methodist. See you there!
