Library News

Lent began on February 18 with Easter on April 5th.  The church library has quite a few DVD’s with study guide for your Sunday School class or individual needs.  See listing below.
The Case for Easter by Lee Strobel – this “investigation” into Christ’s death answers three crucial
questions seekers ask:  Was Jesus’ death a sham?  Washis tomb really empty?  Was he seen alive after his death on the cross?  Strobel’s award-winning skills as a legal journalist will persuade even the most hard-boiled skeptics to reconsider Jesus’ death and resurrection.
Savior;  What the Bible Says about the Cross by Magrey deVega – The cross is the central symbol of the Christian faith.  But what exactly did Jesus do to Save us from our sins?  Why was the cross necessary, and what does it mean for us today?  Magrey deVega faithfully describes the need for reconciliation between humankind and a holy God through Jesus’ death on the cross.
Why Easter Matters by Andy Stanley – the story of Easter is so familiar that we rarely did into the details.  But what if we did?  We might find that they stop sounding like far-fetched fairy tales.  In fact, the improbable details of these stories might even start to sound like real life-maybe even your life.
There are many other Easter books and devotionals available.  Come to the church library Room 118 (immediately west of the gym) and check them out.  The library operates on a self-serve basis and is open when the church is open.
