Dr. Tim Walker grew up in the small town of Blossom in Northeast Texas. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in History and English from East Texas State University (now Texas A&M at Commerce), a Masters of Theology from Asbury Theological Seminary where he served as student body Chaplain, and a Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary. He and his wife Karen have two adult sons and a teenage grandson.The author of six books, including a congregational-wide Bible reading program called, "Through the New Testament," Dr. Walker enjoys a strong preaching and teaching ministry as well as spiritual leadership and presence in the community.

Rev. Robert Pelfrey, Associate Pastor – Contemporary Worship and Outreach Ministries

Rev. Robert Pelfrey grew up in Canyon, Texas. He studied Music Composition at West Texas A & M University and Berklee College of Music in Boston. He got his Masters of Divinity at Asbury Theological Seminary. As Lead Associate Pastor, Robert is in charge of the Contemporary Worship Service at First Church. He also teaches, and oversees Local Missions and the First Impressions Hospitality Team. In addition to preaching and teaching, Robert enjoys writing, creating and listening to music, reading, film, and doing anything with his wife, Jamie, and their daughter, Maddie Jane.

Rev. Macky Pitts, Associate Pastor - Women’s and Care Ministries

Rev. Macky Pitts is a Licensed Local Pastor who leads the Women’s Ministry and Care Ministry. Macky feels privileged to be able to bring the love of Christ to hospitalized and homebound members through the church’s care ministry, which also includes Stephen Ministry and marriage classes. As leader of the Women’s Ministry, she provides inspirational messages during Women of Worship, a service that is held on the second Friday of each month, and leads a Women’s Retreat each February. She is currently attending Course of Study through Perkins Theological Seminary. Macky is married to John and they have two adult sons and a grandson. John and Macky have been members of First United Methodist of Midland since 1994.

Rev. Jay Gage, Associate Pastor – Youth Ministries

Rev. Jay Gage has more than 20 years of experience working in youth ministry. Jay is a Licensed Local Pastor who is currently pursuing his Master of Divinity degree through Asbury Theological Seminary. Jay is married to Becky and they have three beautiful children, Coltan, Hannah and Brylie. Jay has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education and served as an English teacher and coach for eight years, in addition to youth ministry. He has also served as a counselor to at-risk youth and families.
