Night @ the Ballpark Provides Hundreds the Opportunity to Attend Free RockHounds Game

On the evening of Saturday, Aug. 27, hundreds of people, including less fortuante families from within our community, were blessed with an opportunity to spend a Night @ the Ballpark watching the RockHounds play and enjoying the post-game fireworks display. 

Through partnerships with community agencies such as the YMCA, Area Ministry Outreach and Big Brother/Big Sisters, vouchers for tickets were given away, and the first 500 who made it to the game were provided with a free hot dog and beverage. 

More than 100 members of First United Methodist Church volunteered their time to make this a memorable event for these families. Choir members performed the “The Star-Spangled Banner” and “God Bless America”. Dr. Walker also had the opportunity to throw out the first pitch of the game.
